I liked the remote control but the controller smoked and quit ( not for health reasons) after 2 days. Be aware that the controller has a 4 pin female connector that requires a 4 pin male connector cable for LED strips also sold at Amazon, if your LED lights do not already have it. The other lead you see with the black tip is the IR receiver which has to be located so it is visible to the remote control.

Good product works fine its nice to have a remote to run the Leds and changing the colores is easy. Still working with it.

I ordered several of these controllers for color changing LED strips. Each one was wired a little differently, with red and green or blue and green sometimes reversed. The built in colors on the remote don't usually reflect the actual color produced by the LEDs. The connections to the strips are also very delicate and don't usually stay in place. On the other hand, they were very bright, responded pretty well to the IR remote, and were very efficient, getting several hours out of an 1800 mah battery in a mobile application.
