600w HPS Ultra Sun Bulb - High Pressure Sodium

I purchased three of these bulbs at one time November 16, 2010. One blew the first week of December and I discovered another blown this morning. That is 2/3s of the bulbs wasted. I have 8 lamps and all 8 burned Hortilux before buying this brand. It may cost more but in five years I've never had one blow. I replace based on age, not function. Anyways, I strongly suggest not buying this product.

Like another reviewer I ordered multiple bulbs (4) out of those 1 was dead and never turned on. The remaining 3 worked but 1 of those also died after less than 8hours use. My advice buy local so you can return bad bulbs its obvious that the online vendors have quality control issues and are not checking the bulbs to ensure they work. In addition returning them is a hassle period...

I was a little skeptical at first when I saw the claims and price of these bulbs. But I needed 4 bulbs and decided that I could at least try them out for 1 round. I was extremely surprised at how they performed, and I am about to purchase another set, since I also replace them after a set time. Maybe the last review got a bad batch, I am firing them on a digi ballast, a dual 600 core/coil, and a single 600 core/coil, and have had zero problems.
