Summary: Lots of light and no heat 2010-03-07
Comment: Ordered this to use as a bathroom night light. Brighter then I expected. Impressed enough that I ordered three more (for guest bath / kitchen / work shop). You probably would not want this in your bedroom. A peculiar looking little guy but nothing a night light lens can't take care of. IMO: It would be best to use a receptacle that stays on all the time. Pure white light as you would expect an LED to be.

Summary: Very bright and usable 2010-03-05
Comment: This product is much brighter and light is more uniform than Feit Electric BPC7/LED http://www.amazon.com/Feit-Electric-BPC7-LED-Candelabra/dp/B000LWI8RE/ref=pd_cp_hi_1.

Summary: Weird look, but works great! 2010-02-10
Comment: This strange, weird looking night light lamp replacement is almost as brights as the filament type. My wife bought 4 night lights and in about a matter of weeks all the bulbs have given up the ghost, so, I ended up looking for a replacement. I am a sucker for anythings LEDs. I have flashlights, lanterns, toys, booklights, puck lights and even a plastic glass that looks like a milk of glass. The best part of LEDs is that it gives off almost no heat. The incandescent lamps, not only is dangerous for the little kids, but it is also a fire hazard.

The lamp has 5 LEDs all in all. 1 inside covered by an opaque lens, and 4 around the circumference of the lamp. The color is not the ghoulish blue that is typical of the old cheap LEDs. At least they are honest to say that their LEDs will last only 20,000 hours, most will claim 100,000 hours. I only have this for a few days; so, let's see how would it perform in the long run. As of now, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Update (2-25-2010): I really like it that we ordered another one.

Summary: OK for night light. Not bright enough for anything else. 2010-02-08
Comment: I bought these to replace the light bulbs on my bench grinder which go out every other week from the vibration. They don't burn out, but are no where near as bright than the 7W incandescent bulbs they replaced. I also tried the Feit LEd bulbs and they are even less bright than these. I brought them inside for the night lights.

Summary: Save $11 a year by replacing the old door light on my Maytag front-loading Neptune Washer 2010-01-22
Comment: I bought two of the C. Crane LED light bulb, one to replace the energy-draining and dim nightlight bulb. The second one to replace my burnt-out Maytag Neptune front-loading washer door light and this is where it shines (literally). I like to keep my washer door open all the time to keep the moisture out and prevent mold from forming on my washer's door seal. The problem is the original door light burnt out quickly, not to mention burning a hole in my wallet because of all the energy it consumes (10W x 24 hour x 30 days = 7.2KW /month ~ $1/moth in electricity) In comparison this LED light bulb uses less than 1W (less than 10% of the old bulb), is as bright as the old bulb and cost the same as if I have purchased a replacement OEM Maytag bulb ($5), yet it used 10% of the energy = saving 90-cent a month or $11 a year. It is really a no brainer! The same goes for the other LED bulb I replaced on my nightlight. After 6 months, both LED bulbs are still working perfectly and just as bright as Day 1.
