Great replacement for high powered halogen track lights,

Only satisfactory GU10 LED bulb currently on the market that I could find. Philips has a 10 watt Ambient brand MR16 bulb that is brighter but not with GU10 base.
Could be a touch brighter
Dimmable on standard Lutron dimmer--no need for LED specific dimmer
Casts a decent spotlight shape but with a slight ring shadow (Philips bulb casts a clean spotlight shape)
Would be 5 stars if it was slightly brighter and cast a cleaner spotlight.

Ordered this online after having bad experiences with GU10 LED lights from brick and mortar stores. Was pleasantly surprised with the brightness of it, the color of the light (it's about as close to daylight without a hint of blue, as you can get), and the temperature it runs at. In my small home office I have two light fixtures with three GU10 halogens each, which gives me a total of 300 watts of power usage and heat generation. It gets warm in here, just from the lights being turned on, so after purchasing one of these on a test basis, I'll be ordering more to replace the rest. These are dimmable and function on the dimmer switch, as expected. I haven't had any issues with it. Note that the dimming functionality uses pulses of light, so if you lower the brightness on the light and move your hands very quickly under the light, you'll notice distinct on and off points in the output of the light. Best: comes on instantly (no delay) and produces maybe the brightest light of the half-dozen GU10 LEDs I've tried. In the cone of light, I think it's as bright as a 50w halogen.
Worst: The color of the light is somewhere between a very white yellow and a sickly green. More of a living-dead green than a tree-green. I bought one LED GU10 that's significantly worse in this regard and gave up on it, but this one is still kind of borderline.
It's also about a 1/2 inch or 1cm longer than the standard GU10 bulb which looks a little funny hanging out of our decorative fixture.
Conclusion: I'm going to live with it a while. We really need maximum light in our kitchen, so may convert to all of these at some point, but I'm buying one at a time as the halogens burn out and hopefully something better will come along.
