I purchased three of these bulbs and had them for about 3 weeks. So far they are great. Incredibly bright yet very little heat from the bulbs. I've had other CF bulbs and some didn't last the advertised 6000 hours. If these do last as long as advertised, then well worth the investment. I'm purchasing a couple more for the garage.
Update
One of the bulbs has started to flicker after 1 month of 8hr/day use - no where near 6000 hours of use. I'm going to try to return it to the manufacture as I can't return to Amazon. $10 bulb should last more than a month. Lowering rating to 3 stars now.
2nd Update
8/23/07 Well Feit sent a replacemnt for the first defective bulb. The second unit has failed now. Bulb flickering and output significantly cut. They say bulbs will not last in 12" clamp on reflectors due to the heat. Feit has been kind enough to send out 2nd replacement but I think they should warn customers that these bulbs will only work when used...Read more

I've purchased 35-45 of these 200 WATT FEIT Econobulbs and some are much dimmer than others well after being warmed up. I've returned many non working and many [non bright] bulbs (200 WATT / 40 WATT usage). After getting a replacement, the new bulb is bright and works fine, so it may be a bad run of bulbs, but this has happened a couple times.

All of the 4 I ordered are dead after 2 Months. Stay away from these! They all worked well at first, and very bright. 2 were pointing up and 2 were pointing down. No enclosures were over any of the bulbs so there was no airflow restriction. No dimmers of any kind I have just a normal wall switch. They start to flicker then smoke, stink then quit. These 40w Feit bulbs are junk. I'll never buy a Feit bulb again of any wattage. You have been warned.
