I bought 24 of these to replace all of the recessed lighting in the downstairs area of our house. 2 of the 24 had issues upon installation. On one, the spiral portion, within the globe, moved around freely and I was simply afraid to use it since it may be a fire hazard. On the second, it came on one time, but then it popped seconds later and has not come on again since then. I contacted Feit support and they are sending me two replacement bulbs. I have not received them yet, but I expect I will.
As for performance, the 22 that work have worked as I hoped. These are not instant on bulbs and are not dimmable. When I flip the light switch, it takes about a second before the lights turn on at all. When they initially come on, they are dim and it takes about 30-45 seconds for them to become very bright. Useless lightbulb. It burned out in 7 months. They sent me another one -broken on delivery. Then they sent me another one and I don't even want it. The light output is a weird color and and it takes 2 minutes to fully illuminate. This is supposed to be the light bulb of the future. Just an eco waste. Can't even dispose of it in the regular garbage because it contains dangerous elements and requires special handling. Bad lights for a lot of money.

I bought these bulbs based on the specs and reviews. I did npt expect them to burn out in less than 60 days. I purchased 6 of them and 2 of them burned out this week - 7 weeks after installing them.
