GE 46645-5 25-Watt Stained Glass Light Bulb, 5-Pack

I bought a couple of these bulbs locally just this past Christmas. I was looking for something a little fancy and colorful for a pair of old time small hurricane lamps in my living room. After trying a series of colored lights of one shade or another that I didn't care for, I discovered these at the local Home Depot. I immediately liked the multi color effect, and returned to buy a couple more. They look very colorfully cool when lit, but as you would expect do not give off much in the way of really useful light. They are more for the effect, and putting out enough light for seeing your way. At only 25 watts and with a myriad of stained glass colors, that shouldn't come any surprise.

It should be noted that this bulb is the only stained glass light in a regular bulb design that I have ever seen available. It's the very same one made by GE that I picked up at the Home Depot, (the only place I have seen them available here). So if you are considering a bulb like...Read more

Probably not your fault, besides it's hard to get good help these days! I paid for Ten (10) of these bulbs and the order was for Two (2)-- Five (5) packs of these bulbs and I only received Six (6) of these bulbs or Two (2)-- Three (3) packs of them. So instead of costing about $6 per bulb, I paid $10 per bulb. But who's counting! You people sure can't. The bulbs are fine but the math sucks. Thanks, Charles

Not only did I love these colorful bulbs, all my friends were amazed with them. I bought a lamp with a long rice paper type shade and it had 3 sockets for lightbulbs. Regular white bulbs were too bright and did not give the soft look I wanted. I saw these on Amazon and thought I would try them. I couldn't be happier with the results. They provide soft colors of red, yellow, blue and green that create a beautiful appearance. I had ordered x-tras since I liked them so much but need to order again. I gave one to each friend that visited over the holidays.
