Summary: One not 12 2008-06-01
Comment: There is only 1 bulb in the 12/pack. Vendor says Amazon got the description wrong and hasn't corrected it yet. Vendor gave my money back.

Summary: dimable bulb not dimmable 2008-02-26
Comment: We bought this light bulb because it was specifically advertised as dimable. After purchase we learned from the package that it is supposedly dimable on "most" systems. It was not dimable on the lamp with dimmer switch we own. The product was an expensive disappointment.

Summary: Attractive light for a flourescent, dimming needs work 2008-01-10
Comment: I use this in my kitchen ceiling fixture, and this one bulb really lights up the whole room. The light is not greenish or bluish like some other fluorescents. The dimming feature works, but it seems to step up and down in increments, not smoothly. Also it does not dim down very low, which I liked with the incandescent. My biggest complaint is that unless the dimmer is set all the way up, the light will not turn on. You must turn it on full blast, then dim it down.

Summary: No flicker! Dims smoothly-- hard to find item! 2007-08-27
Comment: We've finally gotten all the lights in the house changed out to CFLs! Three-way bulbs, flood-lights and candalabra bulbs are available and now-- dimmables!
I have a fantastic floor lamp that I've not been able to use (until now) because of the nasty flicker the regular CFLs do with dimming switches. There is NO discernible flicker with this GE bulb.
The dimming is smooth.
My only tiny complaint is that it doesn't dim all the way down like an incandescent, but small steps I guess, and the next generation will likely be able to dim further down without going off.
To save energy and not have all the heat of a 100 watt incandescent right over my head, I'll put up with that minor complaint.
