I use these in most places throughout my house, and they do save money. I have not had any break, and they last a very long time, much longer than a regular bulb. This price is very good, and less than my local "wholesale" club. Also, you are doing a little extra to help the environment. Keep in mind that this is a fluorescent bulb and so cannot be put on a dimmer (there are some CFL's that are dimmable, just not this one). I find it takes just a few seconds for the bulb to come to full power in the cold and in the house it comes up like a regular bulb. One last note, the end of the bulb is not as rounded and may not fit in some fixtures. It is not much different, but worth noting for those rare fixtures. The last two are my reason for 4 stars. I would have been happier giving it 4.5 stars, but that isn't possible.
Great product.,

I have had these in action so long I had forgot I had bought them.
After replacing every bulb in my home I have not changed any light in over a year. The light is plenty bright and not harsh.
That is real value.

I've used these throughout the house to replace 40-60 watt incandescents. After converting these and the indoor floods to fluorescent, we are seeing 35-40 a month lower electric bills.
