A FEW CAVEATS THOUGH: -THE BEAM IS KIND OF NARROW, AND I SUSPECT IMPRECISE ALSO. EXPERIMENT WITH LOCATION/DISTANCE. -IT GIVES HEAT, NOT THERAPY GRADE INFRARED. -IT GIVES OFF SOME RED LIGHT, WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT BE A PROBLEM FOR YOU. I looked all over town and couldn't find them - one electrical place hadn't even heard of them! We use them in the wash rack at the barn to keep horses warm in cold weather when they need some kind of bathing. These came very quickly in the mail, were easy to install and are working great! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: GE Heat Lamp, 250 Watt Here in North Carolina, it gets chilly in the garage in winter (but rarely below 20). I wanted to make my dogs more comfortable there at night, but didn't want to put in a space heater that could get tipped over. I set up one of these for each dog at one end of their kennel about 6 ft off the ground. It keeps them warm enough, and of course, they have room to move away from the light if they get too hot. |
