Summary: MUCH BETTER, EVEN THOUGH HARDER TO FIND 2008-06-12
Comment: Hi. Just wanted to write this one review. One day, when I least expected it, my previous bulb burned out. I looked to find a bulb at my local WalMart, with only an idea of shape in mind. Unfortunately, to my demise, I found a bulb(it was the wrong bulb). A few days later, when I went onto Amazon.com, I found this bulb, and boy is it a lifesaver. Not only is it the same size, but it is also a lot BRIGHTER than all the other GE bulbs out there. Thanks GE Reveal for your terrific bulbs. If you're looking for a standard lightbulb for an indoor floodlight with an R-30 type of fixture, this is the one to buy.

Summary: Over-heating is a problem. 2004-06-02
Comment: We have been using reveal 65 indoor flood lights in our office with recessed fixtures. Although the bulbs give off wonderful light under which to work, they frequently shut off from overheating. After cooling, they can be turned back on. So if you plan to use these in recessed fixtures, make sure there is a space around the bulb to prevent this problem.

Summary: Great Light For Work Or Play! 2003-11-05
Comment: This is bright light, close to full spectrum, devoid of the yellow tint from most incandescent bulbs. It's most pleasing in desk lamps or overhead canister fixtures and equally nice in floor lamps around the home.Just a side note, this type light is proven to help with the "winter blues".
