Summary: BIG Bulb 2008-09-12
Comment: This bulb is BIG. The screw is normal, but it fans out to 9 inches, so it won't fit in a lot of indoor spotlight fixtures. Other than that, it's your standard fluorescent, with the usual advantages: it won't overheat, doesn't need much electricity, and lasts a long time.

Summary: Would not fit in recessed fixtures 2007-11-10
Comment: These bulbs would not fit in the recessed fixtures (cans) in my house because of the large plastic housing near the base of the bulb.

Summary: Dim... 2007-10-02
Comment: I ordered this product to try and at least make some parts of our business environmentally friendly, but when we put this bulb in to use it didn't nearly produce the same amount of light as a regular 100 watt flood light. Two weeks later I purchased the old fashioned flood lights.

Summary: This item is a joke. 2007-06-23
Comment: These bulbs burn out every 2 weeks, I am tired of replacing them and went back to old style.

Summary: Saving lots of energy 2007-06-17
Comment: We have eight flood lights in our kitchen and we had been using 150 Watt bulbs in them. We replaced all eight with Globe 23-Watt BR38 Compact Fluorescent Flood Bulbs and are very pleased with the results. In addition to an 85% reduction in energy consumption, the kitchen doesn't get hot from the bulbs. The incandescent bulbs generated an incredible amount of heat. The fluorescent bulbs do take a couple of seconds to come on and a couple of minutes to reach maximum strength but the wait is well worth it.
