I bought 10 of these 55W halogen bulbs to replace a bunch of 65W normal incandescent bulbs. One of the 10 was dead on arrival, but the seller refunded the cost of the one without any hassles. The bulb has the following specs:
- 120V, 754 lumens, 52W, 8000 hours
- 125V, 820 lumens, 55W, 5000 hours
If your voltage is closer to 120V rather than 125V, you will get slightly less light, consume slightly less power, but your bulb will last quite a bit longer, a few thousand hours more. In comparison, a normal 65W R30 bulbs, such as the Sylvania Lighting BR30 65w 120-volt Indoor Flood Bulb, 6-Pack, generates only 620 lumens at 65W, and lasts 2000h. These halogens last 4 times longer, which can compensate for their higher cost.
