Got this to replace a 58W bulb that died. Plugged right in, works fine with my dimmable torchiere. Decent price too.

Dimmable (but never fully dim). Nice color at most voltage levels, but bluish at the dimmest end of the range.

Like other dimmable fluorescents, it doesn't have a wide brightness range. Fully bright when fully powered, but only "dimmer" (but not dim) at the dim end of the range. I prefer to think of it as an energy -efficiency "win" rather than a "can't use it as a nightlight" loss.

When fully bright, it has a nice, warm white color similar to an incandescent. Instead of getting yellower as it dims, it at first just evenly loses brightness while keeping a balanced color. But at the "bottom" of its brightness, it is like something just shuts off, and the light suddenly gets a more old-fashioned-Fluorescent bluish.
