I agree with the 1st reviewer: the original bulb that came with my lamp lasted no longer than 1 year and it was hardly ever used.

Hopefully the replacement lamp will last longer. I went with the cheapest seller on Amazon Marketplace for about $12 with shipping because I don't want to spend $20 plus $7 shipping on another bulb. 10,000 hour rating is probably way overadvertised by Ott.

The Ott Light is a major feature in my life; I use it for many hours daily, and after several years, the bulb burned out. I tried to find a replacement bulb at several local stores without success, but received my new bulb within 2 days from Amazon. I bought a spare as well, and anticipate many years of use from this very effective lamp.

I love the beautiful color reproduction and excellent contrast of the printed word with these bulbs (OTT-Lite Vision Saver fluorescent). I bought three of the Vero lamps 3 years ago. The bulb is 18W and part number B181S3 is printed on the bulbs. One bulb went after just over a year, another went today and the third is still giving crisp light. All three starters are still good. I may not buy from this seller because I'm looking for a price closer to $20.
