1.0 out of 5 stars Feit doesn't know how to make a light bulb, December 11, 2009

I've gone through at least 18 Feit light bulbs in the past 12 months. All of them work ok for a few months, start to get dim, and then around the 9 month mark - burn out. They all show the same tell-tell sign - fiberglass-like fibers appear inside the outer glass shell.

To Feit's defense, they replace the bulbs after I email to complain and mail in the old bulbs. But, unless you like wasting your time worrying about light bulbs, DO NOT BUY FROM FEIT.

I've never had a bad light bulb experience in my life and never thought I would - until I bought Feit light bulbs.

The life span of these bulbs is no more than a few months, much less than any incandescent lamp I have ever used.

I have put two of these bulbs into service in recessed cans and both burned out in a few months - much faster than similar bulbs from other manufacturers. The high price compared to incandescent bulbs can't be justified if they don't last. Don't buy unless you like throwing away your money.
