It works perfectly in my lamp, including the dimming feature. I almost didn't buy it because of the previous review, but since I couldn't find a bulb that fit, I thought I would try it. I am glad I did!

Since Shaper Image closed their stores, I was without my original source for a replacment bulb. Did a google search and found that Amazon carried it. Placed the order on line and the bulb arrived within 3 days.

This item is described as a replacement for Sharper Image Lamps. However, it doesn't allow for dimming which is a feature of the Sharper Images Lamps. It is therefore of no use. I'll be returning it. I had the old bulb number so this bulb shouldn't have been listed as a replacement if it didn't have the same features.
