I really like the Sylvania Capsylite 50 Watt PAR30 Short 40 degree flood. I had purchased GE 35 degree floods from a local store (at the time not knowing there is a difference from one flood to the next). My lighting was uneven (but largely due to my spacing of my recessed lights too far apart. However, the Sylvania Capsylite claims to have a wider, more even light than standard halogen PAR30 bulbs (see their website). I really did find it to be wider and more even. For starters, the 40 degree beam definitely helped over the 35 degree. I like it so much that I plan to order a number more, plus backup bulbs for the years ahead.

i was trying to find a fit for my new juno IC22R recessed lights and 24W-WH trims. Other bulbs are either too small or too long. This short neck PAR30 fits the trim and light perfectly! it also looks nice. I've been using it for a few months now so can't tell if it lasts a long life but I believe so!
Good light, but wider than most 50w halogen lights,

I bought these as replacement bulbs for some spotlights I have. Unfortunately, they are wider around the rim than the old ones and don't fit. But they do put out pretty good light, if you have a fixture that's got enough space for them.
