This is a generic T4 fluorescent bulb, made in China. However it is a perfect replacement for my burnt-out bulb.
As far as I can tell, all T4 bulbs are 13 watts, so your only choice is choice is "bluish" (cool white), neutral white, or "reddish" (warm white). The 20335 is "warm white" (reddish, 3500K). The 20306 (also available) is a "neutral white" (with a color temperature of 4100K), while the 20309 (also available) is "cool white" (bluish, 5000K). The "neutral" or "cool white" is best for desk lamps. For a makeup lamp, you might prefer "warm white".
Since the bulb is fluorescent, it produces very little heat compared to my other desk lamp---a halogen. 13 watts, even fluorescent, is only moderately bright---in my opinion about the right brightness for a desk lamp when working with a computer. I use my halogen when I need a brighter lamp.

Bought one of these for under a workbench. Plugs into a power strip on the bench. Mounts easily with two screws, and provides adequate light to the shelf which was always in a shadow. Doesn't take much room. Has a low profile. I wound up buying a second one for under a desk. They're really good lamps.
