Unbelievably sturdy and well engineered. Absolutely the best quality light bulb I have ever seen. Bought four at Lowes for $55 each. Much Brighter than the 75w halogens they replaced. Color of the light is not "soft" at all; it's much more day light color than anything I have ever seen. Not the typical blue hue most led's have. It's hard to explain how similar the light is to actual daylight. Just amazing. Dim well, as advertised. Other than the insanely high price, I cannot begin to think of any reason not to buy this bulb. Im just thoroughly pleased.

I purchased this LED to use in a downlight application over a kitchen table. Using a Leviton electronic dimmer designed specifically for LED's, and which I've used with other LED bulbs without any problems, this Sylvania bulb did not dim properly through the full range of the dimmer. It worked properly only at the two extremes of the dimmer's range, flashing extremely throughout the middle range of the dimmer. For a bulb advertised as being dimmable, this particular Sylvania LED does not justify the cost. In addition, it is extremely heavy and produces more heat than other 17-18 watt LED's that I use. I won't buy another one of these. I've had much better results with Phillips LED products.

These bulbs are a very good deal. They are great. They put out very good light. I bought them from Kiva Books. Well packed and shipped quickly. JLH
