Comment: I am replacing almost 2 years to the date. Good light but I wish it lasted longer.

Comment: I ordered this Ott Light bulb on line because the local craft stores wanted $35.00 for one bulb! Do you believe it, and that was just for the replacement bulb. I could have bought an entirely new light for two dollars more but I just could not see a good enough reason to do that. So on-line I went to find a replacement bulb for a reasonable price. I had bought several items through Amazon so what the heck, after about two minutes of looking there it was for only one third the local store price. I ordered and within 4 days, standard shipping, my replacement arrived without a problem and it worked perfectly.

Amazon shopping is the best, let's not forget the savings on sales tax, 7% in little Rhode Island, for me it was a fantastic deal.

Comment: Just what I needed for my Ott-Lite. I even got an extra so I don't have to be without it in the future. I love these lamps and this was a very good price for the replacement bulb.

Comment: My wife is an artist and does a lot of detailed work that requires good lighting. Thus, she got an Ott table light. I was annoyed at the high cost, but if she needed it so be it. Well, after what seemed like limited use over about a two-year period, the bulb burned out. So, we went to an arts/crafts store which sold Ott equipment and found out that a replacement bulb cost 17 bucks. That's just outrageous! It was a good light while it lasted, but it lasted nowhere near the claimed 10,000 hours for the bulb. I would be surprised if it got 2-300 hours. And you have to buy this outrageously expensive replacement bulb with the special plug in that only fits in Ott lamps. Buyer beware! My condolences to people who already own Ott lights, and I sincerely hope you're getting good service out of your outrageously expensive bulbs.

Comment: Seriously, don't assume you know how to replace the bulb when you have never tried it before. It's simple to replace your bulb. Don't just yank it out. Look at the the videos on the following site to learn how to replace your bulb:
